Is the Qantas club membership worth the cost?

 The Qantas club (Qantas' lounge access membership program) is an annual subscription service to enable those frequent flyers without status or business class or first class tickets the chance to relax in style. 

I purchased a Qantas club membership in July of last year when I knew I was going to be boarding a 21-hour Qantas flight to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games as I wanted the option to have a shower and food and coffee before my flight. I also wanted somewhere I could access wifi to keep up with my studies for university. 

I also knew that there were shower facilities in the lounge after I had been at work the previous night finishing a few hours before my originally scheduled flight. 

what I didn't know was how much money the membership fee would save me until I went to weigh my luggage for the just as long flight home (how does an extra 10 to 12 kg of checked luggage sound when flying in economy class or even discount economy (Red E-deal on Qantas) 

all the above alone the money to buy Qantas club membership is so worth the price.  

Staying in a hostel here is what you need

for those that don't know I went to the UK for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. 

I went in via London - to get anything I may have forgotten I needed and to get my nails done at my Nail Salon in London.

so I stayed in hostels for the 2 nights I was in London 

here is what you need when staying in hostels 

PadLocks for the lockers and spare for your luggage. you need various sizes (check with your hostel) I like locks that utilise keys, as keys can be tracked with Tile mate and Apple AirTag trackers 

peg-less clothing line to hang items that cannot go into a clothes dryer for drying or to hang a curtain to assist with sleeping.  

towels (some hostels you need to buy towels some offer a hire of towels - its best to have your own) 

100% silk sleeping bag liner 

toiletries

clothes

flip-flops/thongs for the shower are a must as the showers in hostels are communal showers. 

some hostels also have laundry facilities some don't please check with your hostel as to whether they have a washing machine and dryer and what settings these have. 

Multi-country travel adaptors (Skross and Go travel)

USB C plugs for the countries you are travelling to - (Apple devices and Go Pro - USB-C to USB-C can be used)

USB A plugs for the countries you are travelling to (all other devices) I have the go travel 4 USB-A travel charger which works great for use at home as well

Power board. I currently have a non-USB enabled power board but on my next trip I will be getting the Belkin 8 outlet with USB plugs as well (iPhone, iPad, Watch, Battery pack, battery charger for my camera and AA batteries, my vlogging camera, speaker and go pro along with my travel diffuser in one of the USB ports and my speaker in the other.

Morphe is finally in Melbourne

Just a quick post and update about the fact the Melbourne finally has a Morphe Store located at Melbourne Central (right near Sephora) there is also going to be a second Melbourne STore opening at Chadstone in Melbourne Eastern Suburbs sometime in December 2019.

Morphe opened on Friday the 1st of November 2019 at 1pm Australian Eastern Daylight Savings time and while the store looks great and I am grateful to have this store finally in Melbourne, however, the notice of the store opening was only sent to their email list customers 15minuets prior.

the conspiracy palette was also available at the opening day which was a day before the official international launch.
